From actors to comedians to reality television personalities and beyond, it’s safe to say that the Dancing With the Stars season 34 cast has a wide range of skillsets beyond the ballroom.
With just two athletes competing on the season — basketball player Baron Davis and gymnast Jordan Chiles — fans certainly didn’t expect one of this year’s DWTS cast members to be able to sprint like a true track star, though…
With both Davis and Chiles aside, the cast of DWTS season 34 is as follows:
Believe it or not, the track star in question is the one and only Jordan Chiles, showing off her hidden talent in a recent TikTok video shared by her professional dance partner, Ezra Sosa. Keep scrolling to see for yourself.

For those who are unfamiliar with the “renowned gymnast and two-time Olympian,” according to her official DWTS biography, Chiles “helped secure a silver medal for Team USA with a standout performance” at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. To follow, “Chiles played a key role in leading Team USA to a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, cementing her status as a trailblazer in the sport.”
In between the Olympics, the 24-year-old has also been “a passionate advocate for body positivity and mental health,” all while becoming “one of only three Black gymnasts to sweep the podium at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships” in 2022, as well as earning “two NCAA individual titles with UCLA while embarking on a new chapter as a Nike athlete.” Is there anything she can’t do?
It’s obvious that the Oregon native has some natural athleticism, but nobody expected her to be quite as speedy as she is until seeing Sosa’s TikTok video shared today (September 10).
In the video, Sosa is seen playing a silly game with his celebrity dance partner, challenging her to a footrace where she gets a five second head start. In those five seconds, though, Chiles nearly finds herself at the finish line, resulting in a great deal of comments about how quick the Olympic gymnast is.
“So she can flip dance and run??? 🤩,” one fan wrote, while another added, “DAMN SHE’S FAST 💀.” “SHE WAS GONE,” a third exclaimed.
Others poked fun at Sosa for ever thinking he would catch up to his celebrity dance partner:
“Ezra what made you think you’d beat her 😭”
“She got you there Ezra 😅”
With several comments encouraging Sosa to do the same trend with fellow DWTS season 34 cast member Dylan Efron, it’s safe to say that we will keep refreshing his TikTok account until further notice.
Nevertheless, to see this iconic pair in action — dancing, not running — tune into the premiere of DWTS season 34 Tuesday (September 16) at 8pm ET/PT, as well as every Tuesday after.
Who knows… Chiles and Sosa might just take home the Mirrorball Trophy!
