Cheryl Burke once revealed her secrets for drastic weight loss
Cheryl Burke, in an interview with People, had opened up about dealing with body image issues as a young dancer. She also talked about how being constantly reprimanded about her weight had affected her mentally. Hence, the dancer revealed that she first started by feeling aesthetically pleasing from within before venturing to work on her exterior appearance. Along with that, Cheryl also started living an active life and eating clean, nutrient-rich food. She shared:
“It would really affect my mood on a daily basis if I didn’t feel like I was skinny enough. Just being consistently chastised about my weight, it wasn’t fun. I even used to travel with a scale. That’s how obsessive I was. So it’s just not healthy. For me, it’s all about starting from within first instead of the aesthetic of what I look like from the outside. My goal wasn’t to lose a certain amount of weight.”

Although people have assumed that Cheryl’s drastic weight loss and physical transformation occurred as a result of her using Ozempic and going under the knife, the former DWTS pro has always denied these speculations. In the same interview, she also revealed that her skin has been ‘maturing’ since she adopted a healthier lifestyle. Along with that, Cheryl also shared with US Weekly that she is hurt by these speculations. The DWTS alum also stated that the reason for her face looking different is that she stopped wearing the ‘mask’ of spray tan, makeup, and more. Cheryl had shared:
“Think about the mask I was wearing on the show, from head to toe. My skin color was 20 shades darker. That was just what I knew; that’s the competitive ballroom world. I’m learning and realizing who I am underneath all of the makeup, without the tanning beds, the spray tans, all of the extra stuff that I now call a mask.”
Cheryl Burke also made a video shutting down the trolls once and for all, who have been speculating whether she went under the knife and undertook cosmetic surgery. Cheryl called the comments ‘projection’ and denied getting a brow lift or a ‘face transplant’. She stated:
“Let’s just address the elephant in the comment section. I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick. I didn’t get a face transplant, and no, I didn’t get a brow lift. The level of projection that is happening and that I’m witnessing is wild.”
