Some outlets also noted that ABC typically doesn’t announce a new season of the show until it’s closer to the premiere date. For example, this season’s renewal was announced in April 2025, five months before the show premiered in September.
When will season 35 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ premiere?
There isn’t a date for next season’s premiere. “Dancing with the Stars” historically premieres in mid-to-late September.

Robert Irwin, wildlife conservationist and son of the late, great Steve Irwin, took home the Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy on the season 34 live finale of “Dancing with the Stars,” on Tuesday, Nov. 25. He and partner Witney Carson scored an 89 out of 90 total possible points throughout the night.
Irwin’s older sister, Bindi Irwin, is also a “DWTS” winner. She claimed the trophy in 2015, at just 17 years old.
