Earlybirds Club, the party that lasts four hours and still gets you home by bedtime, is coming to Columbus on June 27.
This dance party series, for women and gender-expansive people, presents a safe partying environment that starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m., still allowing for a full night of sleep.
The event is at Newport Music Hall, 1722 High St. Attendees must be 21 and older.
Earlybirds Club is designed as a safe space for women, trans and non-binary folks to be their truest, fullest, weirdest selves, according to the event website. Here, people who love to dance and still value their sleep can get the best of both worlds.
The DJs play nostalgic and well-known pop pieces from the ’80s, ’90s and 2000s.
At each Earlybirds event, 10% of the proceeds go to the Susie Lee Legacy Fund, which supports nonprofits that uplift women, gender-expansive people and communities.
For the Columbus event, those proceeds will support Zora’s House, a nonprofit organization supporting women and gender-expansive individuals.
Laura Baginski co-founded Earlybirds Club along with lifelong friend Susie Lee. They launched the early evening dance party series in 2024. In 2025, Lee passed from breast cancer. Now, Baginski aims to continue their shared mission: “to give people – especially women and gender-expansive folks – an opportunity to dance the early evening away without the late-night drama, judgment, or creeps.”
Earlybirds Club has held events in 47 cities across the U.S. and Canada and has 200-plus events scheduled for 2026.
Tickets for all events can be purchased at early-birds.club/earlybird-events.
