A royal expert has revealed that Prince William and Princess Catherine are reportedly “totally over” the drama surrounding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, saying the future King and Queen are done with the “circus”.
While King Charles was able to put aside his differences with Prince Harry for a private meeting during his trip in the United Kingdom, royal biographer Robert Jobson revealed that fed-up Prince William is ready to move on.
Jobson told The Sun that Prince William and Princess Catherine are “totally over” the drama surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
“To be honest, I think they rise above it, William and Catherine. I think they rightly do,” Jobson said on The Sun’s latest episode of Royal Exclusive.
Jobson added that the Prince and Princess of Wales are setting their sights on a bright future, particularly following Princess Catherine’s recent battle with cancer, instead of focusing on the bitter past.
“They’ve got enough on their plate. You know, she’s been recovering, and they’re planning for their future,” Jobson added.
“Their children are doing their own thing. You know, their oldest son, George, is going up to Eton [College]. I think they’re totally over the whole Meghan and Harry circus.”
The two couples remain estranged, with September 2022 marking their last joint appearance, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Harry concluded his trip to the UK on July 11, following a week of events preparing for the 2027 Invictus Games.
While his venture was predominantly filled with business endeavours, he also managed to find some time for pleasure.
The reunion saw the Duke of Sussex, along with his wife Meghan Markle and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, reunite with King Charles and Queen Camilla for a private meeting at his Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.
The hour-long meeting marked the first time Meghan and the kids had seen Charles and Camilla in four years, while it was only the second occasion that Lilibet had met her paternal grandparents.
Following the reported reunion between Prince Harry and his father, palace insiders have said it may not be the last.
“He will never shut the door on the possibility of spending time with his family because, despite all the trouble, blood is blood,” a friend of the King told The Times.
“Harry’s determined not to let this visit be a one-off, and obviously the King’s diary has to be arranged well in advance, so he’s already started speaking to his father about when they should meet next,” a palace insider told New Idea.
The source claimed Harry is already hoping to return at Christmas with Meghan and the children.
“Fact is, he always gets very homesick at that time of year; he misses being a part of all their traditions, and he would love Archie and Lilibet to experience a proper royal Christmas and finally meet more of the extended family, whether that’s at Sandringham or wherever Charles decides is best,” the source said.
