Entertainment Look-A-Head: ‘They Will Kill You,' new Fetty Wap album

Tuesday, March 24 

The Athens Cinema presents “Enter the Kingdom: The Shawshank Redemptionat 7 p.m. for fans of the Stephen King novella and novella adaptation. 

Admission is $8. 

The Athena Cinema is also hosting a National Evening of Science on Screen featuring a special screening of “Project Hail Marywith a talk by Ohio University professor Dr. Sarah Wyatt. 

Admission is free — tickets are required. 

Wednesday, March 25

The College of Arts and Sciences is hosting the 40th annual Spring Literary Festival at Walter Rotunda from 7:30-9:30 p.m. This marks day one of two for the festival, with a lecture by Jeff Vandermeer and a reading by George Bilgere. 

This event is open to the general public and free. 

Thursday, March 26

Day two of the College of Arts and Sciences’ 40th annual Spring Literary Festival is at Walter Rotunda from 10 a.m. to noon. This marks day two, and the conclusion of the festival, with lectures from George Bilgere and Hala Alyan, along with readings from Hala Alyan and Jeff  Vandermeer. 

This event is open to the general public and free. 

The Movement/ABCD concert is a joint concert with The Movement Organization and Athens Black Contemporary Dancers. The event is located in the Shirley Wimmer Dance Theater in Putnam Hall at 7 p.m. 

Admission is free. 

Friday, March 27

Director Kirill Soklov’s “They Will Kill You,” starring Zazie Beetz, Tom Felton and Patricia Arquette, premieres in theaters nationally. 

UK Jazz singer RAYE drops her second studio album, “This Music May Contain Hope.” The album will feature 17-tracks and is set around four distinct seasons. 

The second and last day of the Movement/ABCD joint concert is located in the Shirley Wimmer Dance Theater in Putnam Hall. The concert starts at 7 p.m. 

Admission is free. 

Trap rapper Fetty Wap drops long-awaited new album “Zavier.” The album trailer was released March 16 to announce the March 27 release. 

Independent Film Company’s “Forbidden Fruits” starring Lili Reinhart, Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp and Emma Chamberlain releases in theaters. 

Saturday, March 28

The Athena Cinema presents a special showing of the Bollywood movie “Devdas,” presented by the Friends of India. The movie includes Bollywood mega stars Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai.

Admission is free and open to the public — a ticket is required. 

Sunday, March 29

The Athena Cinema hosts “Ohio Goes to the Movies” with a special double feature of “He’s Only Missing” and “Letting Go” by Ohio University alumna Robin Smith. This screening starts at 7 p.m., with the reception with Smith being hosted from 6-7 p.m.

Admission is free — tickets are required.
