Returning for its fifth annual edition, the Gold Gala rolled out its gold carpet in Los Angeles tonight, celebrating another year of work and achievements from Asian and Pacific Islander leaders. Honoring the organization’s Gold100 recipients, the event brought together the worlds of entertainment and media, business and technology, fashion and lifestyle, social impact, and sports and gaming, taking a unique cross-industry approach.
At the ceremony, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was honored with the Global Vanguard, Beef Season 2 actor Charles Melton was awarded the Gold Artistic Achievement, Olympic free-style skier Eileen Gu received the Gold Impact award, Avengers: Doomsday star Simu Liu got the Gold Mogul, Flex founder Revathi Advaithi was presented with the Forbes Gold award, and martial artist, actor, and philanthropist Jet Li rounded things out with the Gold Legend honor.
Among the familiar faces and household names included in the Gold100 list were Olympic figure skater (and gold medalist!) Alysa Liu, Hamnet director Chloé Zhao, and K-Pop Demon Hunters’s EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI. The Summer I Turned Pretty author Jenny Han also joined the 100, as did the series’ star, Lola Tung. Wicked: For Good’s Bowen Yang, Michelle Yeoh, and Jon M. Chu were also honored, as was Mayor Zohran Mamdani, actor Lucy Liu, designer Sandy Liang, and artists Laufey, Kehlani, and Bruno Mars.
Plus, as an extra-special New Gold section recognized 10 breakout stars, including Heated Rivalry’s Hudson Williams, global girl group KATSEYE, Chanel model and house ambassador Bhavitha Mandava, and “Messy” singer Lola Young.
