Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a wild ride. The titular character—played by Elle Fanning—finds herself resorting to sex work on OnlyFans to support herself after giving birth to her son, and looks to her roommate Susie and her father Jinx (a former professional wrestler) to help her create an alien persona for content on social media.
After a season’s worth of hilarious shenanigans and heartfelt moments, fans are already wondering if Margo’s Got Money Troubles is slated for a season 2 return. Here’s everything we know so far.
Has Margo’s Got Money Troubles been renewed for season 2?

What has Fanning said about Margo’s Got Money Troubles returning?
Following the news of the show’s renewal, Fanning—who also executive produces the show—shared that she is excited to continue telling Margo’s story.
“Embarking on the adventure of bringing Margo to the screen has been one of the greatest joys of my life,” she said in a statement, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “When I first read Rufi’s [Rufi Thorpe, the author] stunning story, it felt wholly original and, most importantly, human. Then, with [show creator] David [E. Kelley]’s writing, along with our epic cast of heart-wrenching performances, it truly felt like we had something special. Having the opportunity to bring more of Margo’s troubles, creativity, fearless spirit and authenticity to audiences with a second season makes me incredibly happy and excited. I can promise everyone they’re in for a wild, messy and beautiful ride.”
What else has been said about the show’s return?
The show’s creator, David E. Kelley, said that bringing Margo’s story to life has been a “rewarding” experience for him. “Margo’s Got Money Troubles was an irresistible proposition to me from day one,” he said in a statement. “I fell in love with Rufi’s world and unpredictable characters, and it’s been rewarding to see audiences embrace this series. We can’t wait to continue this story with our partners at Apple and A24.”
Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV+, added, “Ever since David’s sharp adaptation of Rufi’s novel debuted, audiences have wanted to spend more time with these riveting characters and the brilliant cast behind them, led by Elle, Michelle, Nick and Thaddea. We’re excited to watch Margo and the entire family continue to defy the odds in season two in the way only they can—with humor, determination and creativity.”

In addition to Fanning, fans can also expect Nick Offerman, Greg Kinnear, and Thaddea Graham to return, if Cherniss’ statement is a clue. Other cast members in season 1 of the show include Michael Angarano, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, Sasha Diamond, and Marcia Gay Harden.
