Key Points
Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff both turned up for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding rehearsal dinner.
The former couple, who were together from 2012 to 2018, were both spotted heading to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Thursday.
The wedding comes just months after Dunham detailed their breakup in her memoir, Famesick.
Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff‘s romance didn’t work out, but they still have plenty of love for their mutual friend, Taylor Swift.
Dunahm, who appeared in Swift’s “Bad Blood” video and remains a close friend, and Antonoff, with whom Swift has collaborated on numerous projects, were both spotted heading to Madison Square Garden on Thursday, ahead of Swift and beau Travis Kelce’s rumored wedding rehearsal dinner.
PEOPLE caught Lena pulling up to the iconic venue in an SUV, while Antonoff and his sister, the designer Rachel Antonoff, were seen dressed up and ready to party before piling into a car en route to MSG. Though Swift attended Antonoff’s wedding to the actress Margaret Qualley in 2023, Qualley has not yet been spotted in New York City ahead of Swift’s big nuptials.
Other celebs that have been seen so far either heading toward, entering into, or milling about inside Madison Square Garden include Adam Sandler, who the U.S. Sun captured on video, Gigi Hadid and her partner, Bradley Cooper, whom Page Six caught entering an SUV bound for MSG, and several of Kelce’s invitees from the sports world, including Erin Andrews and Greg Olsen.

It’s no surprise that Dunham and Antonoff were invited to the weekend’s festivities, given they are both longtime friends of the pop superstar. But it is notable that their attendance at the wedding comes just months after Dunham detailed the end of their five-year relationship in her memoir, Famesick.
Among the most explosive revelations in her book, Dunham lamented that during their relationship, Antonoff’s “closeness” with an unnamed “teen pop star” whose album he was producing struck an “odd note.” She also recounted embarking on an affair with a former middle-school flame named Nick, which eventually culminated in her breaking up with Antonoff.
Dunham even delved into the morning of their breakup, recounting how the former couple “put our foreheads together and wept.”
“‘No matter what happens,’ I said, ‘you will always be my first great love,'” she wrote. “‘And you’ll be mine,’ he wept.”

Amid all that drama, Dunham also gave Swift a special heartfelt shout-out in the acknowledgements section of her book. “Tay Tay-you sing the songs I wrote this book to, the stories that pulled these stories out of me, the music that makes the whole world feel seen,” Dunham wrote. “And yet somehow, miraculously, you also pick up every desperate call at every desperate hour. I love you so much and forever, for the reasons that everyone does and for reasons all my own.”
