EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — It’s been 35 years since the 80s hit “Girl You Know It’s True” by the German-French duo Milli Vanilli. Their debut album sold over 14 million copies worldwide.
Everything changed when the world discovered the two stars weren’t actually singing their songs…they’d been lip syncing to studio vocalists.
The fallout was massive: “Milli Vanilli” gave back their “Best New Artist” grammy in 1990, the first and only time that’s happened in the recording academy.
But now, there’s a full circle moment bringing one of the stars back into the Grammy spotlight. Fab Morvan joined “Your Morning” to discuss.
