Sheinelle Jones is adding a new role to her ever-growing resume.
Fans may remember that back in September 2024, the Today show star announced plans to publish a book called Through Mom’s Eyes: Simple Wisdom From Mothers Who Raised Extraordinary Humans. But as folks know, she took a work hiatus to care for her husband, Uche Ojeh, before his death in May 2025 at age 45 from brain cancer.
While Sheinelle has since returned to TV and is co-hosting Today With Jenna and Sheinelle, she wanted to clue folks in on her book plans. In an Instagram video on January 30, Sheinelle announced that Through Mom’s Eyes will debut on April 14, 2026, and that fans can pre-order the book online.
“Hi everyone! I wanted to share an update with you. 💗,” she wrote in the caption. “My book, THROUGH MOM’S EYES, is officially coming out on April 14, 2026.”
“Thank you all for being so understanding and supportive—especially if you preordered it, and watched the publication date change, so I could focus on my family,” she added. “Years ago, I set out to write this book about motherhood and what I’ve learned from women I admire — and you can probably imagine how it felt as my life got turned upside down ‘while’ I was writing it. I poured my heart into this book and I can’t wait to share it with you in April.”
When fans learned that Sheinelle’s book was coming out soon, they sent her words of encouragement.
“Congratulations 💐💜🙏🏾 May God bless you and your family. You got this. Much love 🙏🏾,” one person wrote in the comments. “Very exciting!!!! Congratulations!! 🎉🩷👏,” another agreed. “My ❤️ is sooo overjoyed for you. Well deserved 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎉,” a different follower added.
An official blurb from her publisher, Penguin Random House, gave some clues on what to expect from the book.
“When Sheinelle Jones launched ‘Through Mom’s Eyes,’ a recurring Today show segment interviewing celebrities’ mothers about raising successful kids, she had an ulterior motive,” the description reads. “She wanted to bring all their wisdom to bear on raising her own three children.”
“Sheinelle is ready to share even more of those life-changing secrets with the world,” the description added. “Combining insights from celebrity mothers with her own journey through modern parenting, Sheinelle reveals how to make it through the hard parts of motherhood and still tap into the joys of it with empathy, generosity, and solidarity.”
