Danica Patrick has strong feelings about Bad Bunny performing at the Super Bowl LX halftime show.
“Oh fun,” the former professional race car driver, 43, tweeted with an eyeroll emoji on Monday, September 29. “No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America’s highest rated television events of the year… not just for sports.”
Her pointed remarks were not well received as social media users sounded off in the comments.
“77.4 MILLION Monthly Listeners of Bad Bunny disagree,” one person wrote. “Puerto Rico is part of the United States,” another informed the retired driver.
“Danica, you can always learn Spanish. Or listen to his music. If my 6 year old can learn Spanish you can too,” a third user wrote.

Bad Bunny — real name: Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — was announced as the halftime show performer for the 2026 Super Bowl on Sunday, September 28.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny, 31, said in an NFL announcement. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history.”
The Puerto Rican artist is at the top of his game after wrapping a two-month residency in San Juan with a record-breaking show livestreamed on Amazon Prime last month.
“What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring,” Jay-Z, whose company produces the halftime show, said in a statement during the announcement. “We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”
Super Bowl LX is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 8.
