However, one of the biggest changes involves the actual cost of a Disney trip.

On its busiest day this year, the Magic Kingdom will be priced at over $200 per person. Guests already saw price hikes hit the parks at the start of the year, with Disney World confirming its annual Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party would see an increase over 2024.

“Love Disney. But it’s break time,” said one user. “These prices to ride stuff I’ve ridden dozens of times? Time to move on to other vacation destinations.”
“The lack of entertainment (and the rides constantly down) are the biggest decline issues I’ve noticed in my 30 years of yearly trips to Disneyland,” said another. “I always go in Feb for this show but might not this year with no seating. Maybe I’ll bring in my own camping chair.”
Disneyland specifically has gotten rid of a considerable amounts live entertainment in recent years, affecting everything from superhero shows to Pixar events.
Guests have been critical of the rising cost of Disney’s parks for years, though now seems like an especially fiery time for the community, with numerous projects taking place across Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
These resorts will expand in significant ways over the coming years, but it’s out with the old, in with the new, as several fan-favorite experiences will close forever. Fans already saw classics like Tom Sawyer Island and Muppet*Vision 3D shut down for good in 2025, bit 2026 is shaping up to be just as impactful.
