FARMINGDALE, NY — Farmingdale Village is gearing up for summer 2025 fun events.
“There are many outdoor community events planned — from movie nights to live music, art crawls and more — there is something for everyone to enjoy, and they are free to attend,” the village wrote.
Below are some key events:
- Farmers Market On the Village Green, by Schneider’s Farm on Sundays, through Nov. 23 — 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. each week.
- Farmingdale Craft & Gift Fair by Farmingdale Kiwanis Club / Nassau County Fairs, on the Village Green, June 28 and June 29; and Aug. 23 and Aug. 24. The event is scheduled to run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
- Farmingdale Village Pops On the Village Green, 43rd Season and crowd favorite. Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.: June 25; July 2; July 9; July 16; July 23; and July 30.
- Movies On The Village Green: Tuesdays at dusk. “Dog Man” on July 8; “Inside Out 2” on July 15; “Despicable Me 4” on July 22; “Moana 2” on July 29; “The Wild Robot” on Aug. 5; “Paddington in Peru” on Aug. 12; and “Mufasa: The Lion King” on Aug. 19.
- Farmingdale Music On Main: Along Main Street downtown on select Thursdays: July 10; July 24; Aug. 7; and Aug. 21. Each event is scheduled to run 5 to 9 p.m. Rain date: Aug. 28. Presented by Farmingdale Business Improvement District and Farmingdale Village. And this year, sponsored by Optimum/Altice, P.C. Richard & Son and Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce.
- Colored Colors: Second Sundays along Main Street in downtown Farmingdale on July 13; Aug. 10; and Sept. 7. Sponsored by Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, Farmingdale BID, and more.
- South Shore Theatre Experience, Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part I directed by Steven Wangner —on the Village Green, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 13. Rain date: Aug. 20. Presented by the Farmingdale Village Cultural Arts Committee.
- Runners Edge Main Street Mile: Starting 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30. Along Main Street. There is a fee to enter races. Will benefit Companions in Courage Foundation.
- 15th Annual Art in the Park Exhibit, show and sale, on the Village Green. Scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14. Rain date: Sept. 21. Calling all artists — free to exhibit artwork, visit the village website for application/details. Presented by the Farmingdale Village Cultural Arts Committee.
“Summer in Farmingdale Village is a great time to enjoy many free outdoor events downtown, visit the weekly farmers market, enjoy Village Pops concerts, Movies On the Green, outdoor music and fun along Main Street at Farmingdale’s Music On Main, 2nd Sundays Art Crawl, Theatre On the Green, Art in the Park and more,” Farmingdale Village Mayor Ralph Ekstrand said. “We look forward to providing great, fun entertainment downtown. Stroll Main Street and see what’s new, enjoy music, art, dining and more — celebrate summer!”
People are encouraged to shop and dine while downtown on the Culinary Quarter and enjoy the vast array of shops and eateries.

eateries, a speakeasy, two breweries, downtown destination stores and shops. Also many Farmingdale merchants provide great entertainment and activities. Thank you to all sponsors,

planners, promoters and the media.”
Most events are held on the Village Green, at 361 Main Street, or along Main Street.
Outdoor events are weather permitting. People should bring chairs or blankets for seating for movies, Pops concerts and the theatre performance.
Non-residents can take the train to Main Street in Farmingdale Village.
