FC Cincinnati officially got the green light to build its planned $332 million mixed-use entertainment district north of TQL Stadium.
The city’s planning commission unanimously approved the plan at a public hearing on Friday, Nov. 21.
The West End-based development, planned for the southwest corner of Liberty Street and Central Parkway, includes the construction of a pair of 13-story towers, an underground entertainment venue, a community plaza and additional parking.
Here’s what the two buildings will entail:
- The north tower, closer to Liberty Street, will feature 167 rental units, office space and restaurant space. A 138-space parking garage will be underneath the building for residents only.
- The south tower by Central Parkway and the stadium will feature a 182-room hotel and five for-sale condominiums.
It’s not clear when construction will begin on the six-acre site, but according to FC Cincinnati’s Chief Revenue Officer Chad Munitz, the club hopes to begin work in spring 2026.
Still, FC Cincinnati needs to secure more state funding for the development. Earlier this year, the club was awarded a key $26 million in tax credits from the Ohio Department of Development after being denied in the previous round of the agency’s Transformational Mixed-Use Development Program.
