Events this week include a history presentation, group bike ride, family-friendly festivals and Pride activities.

Long Lake Farmers’ Market

10 a.m.-2 p.m. on June 25 at the Mt. Sabattis Lower Parking Lot in Long Lake

The Long Lake Farmers Market is held every Thursday at the Mt. Sabattis Lower Parking Lot, located on South Hill Road across from the Post Office. Look for fresh veggies, pies, ice cream, Otter Creek Wines, rustic furniture, jewelry and more.

Presentation: Warships of the French & Indian War

7 p.m. on June 25 at the Fort William Henry Conference Center in Lake George

The Lake George Battlefield Park Alliance and the French & Indian War Society at Lake
George are hosting maritime archaeologist Joseph W. Zarzynski, RPA, for a presentation entitled “Warships of the French & Indian War: Naval Preludes to the American Revolution.”

The event is free and open to the public. Those planning to attend are requested to reserve their seats in advance by emailing [email protected].

4-7 p.m. on June 25 on the library lawn in Old Forge

The free, family-friendly event welcomes residents and visitors alike for an evening of music, food, creativity and community connection.

The celebration will feature a picnic-style menu with a build-your-own mac and cheese bar, a loaded baked potato bar, sweet treats and plenty of cake. Music throughout the evening will be provided by DJ Jerry Dee and the Deeplex mobile sound system.

Guests of all ages will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on craft activities, including designing custom pride tote bags and  bracelets.

Held during Pride Month, the event is part of a nationwide tradition honoring LGBTQ+ communities and promoting dignity, equality, kindness, and visibility for all people. Library staff say the annual celebration continues to grow each year as more community members come together in a positive and supportive environment.

June 27 in Lake Placid

The 2026 Lake Placid Horse Shows (LPHS) will host family-friendly activities and free admission for its Community Appreciation Day.

Community Appreciation Day will include, among other activities, a clown, balloon animals, spin art, airbrush tattoos, cornhole and other games, selfie stations, a horseless horse show with jumps for kids to try, tours of the new show grounds and the horse show’s annual Doggie Costume Contest.

Adirondack Wine & Food Festival

11 a.m.-6 p.m. on June 27 and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on June 28 in Lake George

The Adirondack Wine & Food Festival returns to Lake George for its 10th anniversary. The family-friendly event is one of the most celebrated wine and food events in the Northeast, drawing visitors from 30 different states and Canada.

Attendees will have the opportunity to “try before they buy” from a lengthy list of more than 120 vendors.

ADK Queer Run Club Pride 5k

10 a.m.-12 p.m. on June 27 at Paul Smith’s VIC in Paul Smiths

Join the ADK Queer Run Club for a 5K trail race. Fun colors and costumes are strongly encouraged. Race entry is $5. Everyone is welcome.

Check-in starts at 9 a.m. and the race kicks off at 10 a.m.

AMSC Rapid River Fondo

8 a.m. on June 28 at Band Stand Brew Works in Warrensburg

Grab a friend and join Adirondack MultiSport Club for a 33 mile, 48 mile or 100K bike ride along some of the Southern Adirondack’s most picturesque waterways.

Music in the Gazebo concert series begins

4 p.m. on June 30 at the Old Forge Library

The Old Forge Library will kick off its 2026 Music in the Gazebo summer concert series with a special performance by Cosby Gibson and Tom Staudle. Gibson and Staudle, award-winning upstate songwriters and performers, have been performing together for more than 15 years and are known for their thoughtful songwriting, strong musicianship and engaging live performances that blend history, humor and heart.

Set in the library’s gazebo, the concert invites the community to relax on the lawn and enjoy an afternoon of live music in a welcoming outdoor setting. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs. In the event of inclement weather, seating will be available under a large tent on the lawn.
