Today, the Michigan based heavy metal band, Finality, are proud to unleash their new single, “Haunted.” The new track arrives alongside a music video, available to view below.
“Haunted” was recorded at XevKai Studios, produced by the band, mixed by Nick Hagen, and engineered/mastered by Finality’s own Joe Cady. The accompanying music video was produced, shot, and edited by Akuro Productions and features model/actress Anna Thomas.
On “Haunted,” the band comments: “The music for ‘Haunted’ traces back to 2009, written by friend and former bandmate, Shaun Carroll. After Shaun’s passing in 2018, Joe made a vow to finish and release every piece of his unfinished music. This track is the last one—completing that promise and honoring his memory.”
They continue, “Lyrically and visually, ‘Haunted’ is not a tale of ghosts, but of the spirits that live quietly within us — the echoes of every choice, every doubt, every whisper of conscience. It drifts between two worlds: one steeped in arrogance, despair, and the slow decay of meaning… the other reaching toward courage, redemption, and the fragile calm of peace. In that space between shadow and light, ‘Haunted’ breathes — a reflection of the soul’s endless struggle to find itself.”
Formed in 2015 in the Detroit suburbs, Finality is made up of a group of longtime friends. Their bond goes back to the early 2000s, when they performed together in bands such as Battlecross, Cursed Eternity, and As They Sleep. Finality self-released their debut full-length album, Technocracy, in 2023 and now return with their brand-new single, “Haunted,” just in time for Halloween.
