King Charles’ illness has made conversations about the future succession more immediate, but there’s no doubt that those conversations would have happened sooner rather than later, anyway. King Charles was, after all, the oldest person to ever succeed to the throne when he took over for his mother, Queen Elizabeth. So, everyone has always been aware that Prince William’s time is coming. And changes are coming with him.
Some of these changes might have to do with both Prince Andrew and Prince Harry, William’s uncle and brother. There has, after all, been a lot of talk about whether Prince William would dare to do something that King Charles has so far been reluctant to do: taking away Prince Andrew and Prince Harry’s titles.

However, a new report by NewsNation indicates this is unlikely to happen. ”There is no way Charles would do it,” a well-placed insider told the outlet. “Everyone keeps saying William will take away Andrew and Harry’s titles when he becomes king, but he literally can’t do that without an act of Parliament,” the source added. “There is absolutely no way William would do that, as it would bring even more attention to the issues with them both.”
Even so, the source indicated it is likely Prince Andrew will be even more excluded than he is now, and he might “not be invited to any family gatherings.” Andrew is still invited to Sandringham for Christmas and walks with the family to church. Prince Harry, meanwhile, has not made an appearance alongside his family in the UK since he moved to the United States outside of funerals, but he presumably would not be included either.
”King Charles has to invite his brother to family events,” the insider said. “William doesn’t.” And though King Charles and Prince Harry are said to be closer to reconciliation than ever, the outlet claims William is “done” with his brother.
This all confirms recent reports that have shed light on how William feels about Harry and Andrew. Regarding his brother, “It’s no secret William wants Harry more harshly dealt with. He thinks he has betrayed the family from top to bottom, which is the ultimate Windsor crime. It wouldn’t take much to provoke him to flex his muscles when he is king,” a palace insider told The Daily Beast a few months ago.
Andrew, meanwhile, is doing even worse in Prince William’s estimation, as strange as it seems considering William’s feud with Harry. British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital about William. “He recognizes the public animosity towards Andrew. He views him as a complete liability with his series of scandals, both past and present, shoveling shame on the family. His stance towards his uncle is tough. He will not entertain anyone toxic to the brand. Andrew will not be part of the streamlined monarchy.”
It seems like, for now, Prince Andrew and Prince Harry still have a chance while Charles is King. The future, however, isn’t looking bright for either of them.
