“Takeover,” which is directed by Greg Jonkajtys (“The Liberator”), brings the underground car scene to life through a blend of live action and stylized animation. The film features original music from Quavo, who also serves as executive producer.
The film stars Quavo alongside Billy Zane, Serayah (MTV’s “Empire”), and Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (“Spider-Man: Homecoming,” “Bumblebee”), with a supporting cast that bridges music, film, and gaming culture.
“ ‘Takeover’ is all about speed, sound, and style, it’s the streets, the music, and the energy that raised us,” said Quavo. “We wanted to build something that looks wild, feels real, and hits different. This one’s gonna light up the theaters.”
Developed by Trioscope in partnership with Quality Films, the film and television arm of Quality Control Music and represented by Courageous Artists, Inc., “Takeover” expands the studio’s signature hybrid storytelling into the world of high-speed street racing and hip-hop culture. Trioscope is known for its fusion of live action and animation, as seen in “The Liberator” for Netflix.
“’ Takeover’ represents everything Firestorm stands for — bold storytelling, authentic culture, and crossover energy,” said Firestorm Entertainment. “It lives at the intersection of film, music, and digital life — a cinematic experience built to be an event.”
“ ‘Takeover’ has always been about capturing real energy — the streets, the music, the visuals,” said L.C. Crowley. “We needed a partner that gets that and knows how to reach fans on every level. Firestorm just got it.”
