The Crown Princess of Norway is recovering at home following a
lung transplant.

family and she chose an important moment to reveal her health
update.
As Norway celebrated dumping World Cup favourites, Brazil, out
of the tournament in a shock result. Mette-Marit was seen joining
the festivities from her home in Oslo.

marking the moment that Norway put Brazil out of the tournament to
progress to a quarter final match against England.
Mette-Marit, 52, looked well and happy just weeks after doctors
confirmed she had undergone a lung transplant. She was diagnosed
with pulmonary fibrosis in 2018 and in recent months, her health
deteriorated sharply, On Norway’s National Day, in May, she
appeared wearing an oxygen tube and looking very unwell. Later,
Crown Prince Haakon confirmed that her health had taken a turn for
the worse.

undergone a lung transplant and said no further details would be
released until she was back home.

the match that saw Norway head into the quarter finals. The second
in line to the throne was at the New York New Jersey stadium for
the historic 2-1 win that sealed the spot in the last eight for her
national team. She was joined by her younger brother, Prince Sverre
Magnus.

1998 – Ingrid Alexandra wasn’t even born when they last competed on
the global stage.
As Norway’s footballers made history, the country’s royal family
were the first to congratulate them with King Harald, 89, and Queen
Sonja, who just celebrated her 89th birthday, photographed waving
Norwegian flags as they enjoyed the game.
Crown Prince Haakon went one step further and headed out to join
a fanzone where he dived into the crowd and joined in their
celebrations.

windows.
