TEXAS — Flix Brewhouse has announced that they’ll acquire four Alamo Drafthouse locations in Texas, increasing its footprint in the state from 11 to 15. The locations, two in El Paso and one each in Katy and one in Lubbock, were operated by Triple Tap Ventures, a franchisee of Alamo Drafthouse.
This will make El Paso the first city to host three Flix Brewhouse locations and will increase the company’s total screen count to 129 over six states.
The locations will close briefly for renovations and are expected to be reopened in time for “Scream 7” to premiere on Feb. 23. Presales will begin on Feb. 13.
Flix boasts a full craft beer menu and a kitchen, which means it won’t be materially different from Alamo after the rebrand.
Alamo recently made news when it scrapped its long-held handwritten order policy in favor of a digital in-app order system. This is one of several changes instituted since the company was acquired by Sony in 2024.
