Florence + the Machine is officially back with a brand new era.
The band, led by Florence Welch, just announced their sixth studio album, Everybody Scream, due out on October 31…fittingly on Halloween.
The album’s haunting title track arrived today (August 20) alongside a music video directed by Autumn de Wilde.

The track was written and produced by Florence over the past two years with frequent collaborators including Mark Bowen of IDLES, Aaron Dessner of The National, and Mitski. Mark Bowen also makes an appearance in the video.
Florence says the project was shaped in part by her experience recovering from lifesaving surgery during her Dance Fever tour, which pushed her deeper into themes of mysticism, witchcraft, and folk horror.
Lyrically, the record explores womanhood, aging, love, and mortality.
Florence has also shared stages with icons including The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.
