Author Bob Kealing and musician and radio host the Rev. Billy C. Wirtz will present a screening of their documentary film, “The Florida Chitlin’ Circuit,” March 12 at 7 p.m. at Florida Southern College in Lakeland.
The 45-minute documentary explores Florida’s vibrant, mid-20th-century circuit for Black entertainers, according to a news release. Through interviews with R&B and blues musicians, the film offers stories from those who lived and loved the scene.
Music and a question-and-answer session will follow.
The screening will take place at Branscomb room 202. The event is open to the public.
