WA’s own Fool Nelson are on a tear. Off the back of their sold-out debut national tour (and a cross-country sprint with Skegss), the indie-rock trio have unleashed their most urgent single yet, ‘Big Shot’ – and revealed plans for their forthcoming third EP, Bad Dreams.
Brimming with blistering riffs, big-hearted lyricism and choruses built for sweaty singalongs, ‘Big Shot’ is a rallying cry to drop the ego and hold close what really matters. Produced and mixed by Andy Lawson (The Buoys, Death by Denim) and mastered by George Georgiadis (Ruby Fields, Hockey Dad), it’s Fool Nelson at their most raw and anthemic yet.

“‘Big Shot’ was written as a reminder for us to remember what’s actually important,” the band shares in a press statement. “It’s about ego getting the best of us, and how the people around us keep us grounded.”
The new single lands as Fool Nelson gear up for their biggest headline run to date – with their Perth all-ages date already selling out in just 48 hours. Expect carnage when they roll through cities nationwide later this year.
Already crowned “Ones To Watch” by triple j, Fool Nelson’s rapid rise has been impossible to ignore: from Unearthed comp winners to prime festival slots (Groovin the Moo, NYE on the Hill, HYPER FEST) to supports with Spacey Jane, Ball Park Music, and The Rions. Their past five singles have all landed on triple j rotation, cracked Shazam charts, and scored prime playlisting across Spotify and Apple Music.
