It’s a massive follow-up to a smash hit of a film, and it’ll hit the big screen very soon.
“Wicked: For Good” lands in theaters later in November.
The film is the sequel to the movie, “Wicked,” which tells the story about how Elphaba Thropp becomes the Wicked Witch of the West. The first movie focused on the blossoming relationship between Elphaba and Glinda the Good Witch.
“Wicked” first appeared as a musical on Broadway more than two decades ago, starring Kristin Chenoweth as Glinda and Idina Menzel as Elphaba. The Broadway show was based on the book by the same name by Massachusetts author Gregory Maguire.

“As Glinda’s stardom expands and she prepares to marry Prince Fiyero in a spectacular Ozian wedding, she is haunted by her separation from Elphaba,” Fandago said. “She attempts to broker a conciliation between Elphaba and The Wizard, but those efforts will fail, driving Elphaba and Glinda only further apart.”
