A longtime Hollywood childhood star has tragically passed away following a serious illness.
He was just 61 years old.
Jeffrey Louis Starr, a former child actor, died following a serious illness. He was perhaps best known for his roles in the “Bad News Bears” sequels. He played Mike Engelberg in “The Bad News Bears Go To Japan” and “The Bad News Bears In Breaking Training.”
The former childhood actor shared the silver screen with some big names, including Tony Curtis, William Devane and Clifton James. The “Bad News Bears” baseball movies remain some of the most beloved in sports movie history.
Starr tragically died in Illinois over the weekend.

Jeffrey’s brother released a touching statement on social media following his tragic passing.
“The world got a little darker yesterday with the passing of my Best Friend and Brother,” he wrote.
“Jeff lived an amazing life and shared his life with countless people, Jeff never met a stranger and helped so many people throughout the years. Our family has suffered so many losses in the past but we must push through.
“I love you so much little brother and I’ll see you on the other side.”
