FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Fort Smith Film Festival is back for its 5th year with a twist.
The festival is diving deeper into the arts space by combining films with music, pottery, live art and hands-on workshops. There will also be a film market, A VIP lounge and after-hours screenings.

It’s all a part of the goal to support the local creative scene.
“The whole idea is to grow our creative economy, so in order to have a healthy economy you have to have a place where people can exhibit their stuff and have a place where people can sell their work. That’s the two things we try to do here with the film festival and the film market,” said Brandon Chase with the Fort Smith International Film Festival. “We’re trying to become a resource for regional filmmakers.”
The film festival runs through Saturday.
