BIRGITTE, the Duchess of Gloucester, is visiting two well-known organisations in Hereford today.
Her visit will include the Little Princess Trust, based on Berrington Street, and Wyevale Nurseries.
But it is not the first time that a member of the Royal Family have visited the county.

He also visited Holme Lacy College, inspecting its new Low Carbon Technology Training Centre.
The highlight was his visit to Hereford Veteran Support, where he opened a new facility dedicated to helping local veterans.
The Prince of Wales, January 2025 (Lower Blakemere Farm)
In January 2025, the Prince of Wales returned to Herefordshire for a working visit to Lower Blakemere Farm.
He examined composting systems, soil-health measures, and other regenerative techniques used by tenant farmers.
The farm is one of seven Duchy sites used to test and demonstrate low-carbon, biodiversity-friendly farming methods.
His visit highlighted practical steps toward net-zero agriculture.

The Prince of Wales, January 2026 ( Much Cowarne/ We Are Farming Minds)
On January 15, 2026, the Prince of Wales met farmers Laura and John Bowler at their 190-acre farm in Much Cowarne, along with Sam Stables, a founder of the charity We Are Farming Minds, which the prince is a patron of.
He joined the farmers in everyday farm tasks, focusing on farming livelihoods and mental wellbeing.
The visit reinforced the Prince’s ongoing support for rural communities, farmers, and initiatives that use farm work and countryside life to support people struggling with mental health issues.
