EXCLUSIVE: Fox Entertainment has selected the four Fellows for its 2026 Writers Incubator, an initiative designed to nurture and provide support to four writers of all genres, including comedy, drama and animation.
Selected from over 1,200 submissions, Mateo Gomez, Isa Moon, Chiara Motley and Brandy E. Palmer have been named as the 2026 FWI Fellows.
Now in its fifth year, the Fox Entertainment Writers Incubator initiative is a rigorous three-month workshop focused on reworking material, honing writing skills, professional development and an exploration of the media and entertainment business. Fellows also are provided one-on-one mentorship opportunities with Fox executives and staffed writers.
Following successful completion of the FWI, Fellows will have the opportunity to work across series produced by Fox Entertainment’s in-house production unit Fox Entertainment Studios and Emmy-winning animation studio Bento Box Entertainment. Previous fellows have been staffed on Fox series, including Going Dutch, Animal Control and Rescue: HI-Surf.
“The Fox Entertainment Writers Incubator continues to be an incredible opportunity to discover and support some of the most exciting emerging voices in television,” said Michael Thorn, President, Fox Television Network. “We welcome Mateo, Isa, Chiara and Brandy and look forward to supporting their growth as storytellers while expanding the range of talent helping to shape Fox Entertainment’s content.”
The Fox Entertainment Writers Incubator 2026 Fellows:
ANIMATION

Gómez began as a Writers PA for the CBS comedy Man with a Plan, followed by a series of other sitcoms including B Positive, How I Met Your Father and Frasier. He was subsequently promoted to Writers Assistant on the CBS comedy How We Roll and the Netflix comedy That ‘90s Show, co-writing an episode on the former. Gómez most recently worked as the Writers PA on the Hulu comedy Mid-Century Modern while simultaneously co-writing four episodes on the Peacock short-form series The Warehouse Phase. Additionally, his pilot My Roommate’s a Nightmare, was one of two winners at the 2025 Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival. Gómez writes Latino-centric family dramedies and stories that find light in the dark. When he’s not writing, you can find him where his wife is.
COMEDY
Isa Moon
Isa Moon is a comedy writer and performer from New York. After graduating from Emerson College in 2021, she moved to Los Angeles, where she has worked as a writers’ assistant and script coordinator on shows such as Housebroken, Universal Basic Guys and Animal Control. Isa’s first short film, Mail, which she wrote, produced and starred in, premiered at the 2025 Los Angeles International Film Festival. She writes and performs in a long-running sketch show at The Elysian Theater with her troupe, Same Great Taste, which was selected to perform at this year’s SF Sketchfest. She can also be seen performing around Los Angeles in the comedy duo PoundCakes. Isa loves her family in New York, her friends everywhere and her dog at home.
DRAMA
Chiara Motley
Chiara Motley is an award-winning writer, producer and actress based in Los Angeles and Seattle. Her drama pilot Paradise Lanes won Best TV Pilot at both the HollyShorts Film Festival and the Big Apple Film Festival in 2025, and was a semifinalist at the Austin Film Festival. Brandy E. Palmer writes multifaceted stories about compelling underdogs and the unique worlds they inhabit. Her Southern roots—steeped in mysticism, family lore and more than a little unsolicited advice—inform her character-driven storytelling. Brandy began her career as a production assistant on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and later worked for Jamie Foxx’s production company, Foxx King Entertainment, where she also produced programming for SiriusXM’s The Foxxhole. She transitioned into television writing and became a staff writer on NBC’s New Amsterdam, where she penned two episodes. Brandy is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University.
