Jillian Jensen of Amber Eyes will perform a free concert Sept. 18 at The Alley Theatre in Middleboro. The event is sponsored by Thrive Dispensary, according to a community announcement.
Jensen, known for her appearances on “X Factor” Season 2 and “American Idol” Season 13, returned to Massachusetts in 2018 to pursue her dream of forming a country band. Since then, Amber Eyes has gained recognition, performing original songs on WATD and Country 102.5, and opening for Old Dominion.
The band’s self-titled debut album reached No. 69 on the Top 100 Country Charts shortly after its release. The Alley Theatre is owned by Lorna Brunelle, who also owns The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts. Jensen is an alumna of the school, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
