A weeklong festival offering free music across North Texas returns for its second year with more venues and local talent in its lineup.

Jambaloo Music Festival, Feb. 7-15, includes nearly 30 free shows at 15 North Texas locations, including Tulips FTW, The Cicada, Low Doubt Bar and The Post.

Confirmed headliners include Tripping Daisy, Low Cut Connie and Catie Turner. Fort Worth-based musicians Meach Pango, Matthew McNeal and Lincoln Swanzy will also perform. Click here to see the complete artist lineup.

The full schedule detailing which performances are in Fort Worth is expected to be announced in January.

Last year’s debut showed organizers how hungry the community was for a free festival and how many areas still need support behind the scenes, Jambaloo co-founder Joseph Morrison said.

“Our 2026 festival is a direct response to both,” he said in a statement. “We’re scaling up the celebration while expanding the ways we give back.”

What other North Texas venues are participating?

AM/FM Dallas, Club Dada, Deep Ellum Art Co., Firehouse Gastro Park, Granada Theater, Josey Records, Ladylove Lounge & Sound, Manhattan Project Beer Co., Ruins, The Free Man and Three Links.

Jambaloo was founded by Mullen & Mullen Music Project to uplift North Texas’ music scene and support small businesses across the industry.

The inaugural event spotlighted over 100 diverse musical artists across four regional venues. More than 6,000 people attended the festival last year, Jamabloo co-founder Corey Pond said.

This year’s free week of music kicks off with the Jambaloo Symposium at Tulips FTW on Feb. 7, a discussion exploring the challenges facing independent venues and strategies to strengthen North Texas’ music ecosystem.

The symposium ends with Cole Cuchna, host of the popular podcast Dissect, breaking down the music and meaning of select Radiohead songs. Performances by Austin-based Radiohead tribute band Paranoid Androids will follow.

This year’s festival features the inaugural Jambaloo After Hours, three late-night parties spotlighting the vinyl culture of North Texas. DJs will spin tracks at Ladylove Lounge & Sound, Josey Records and Deep Ellum Art Co. in Dallas.

Jambaloo will conclude with a performance from students at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts at Granada Theater.

Tom Martens, vice president of creative, film and music at Visit Fort Worth, previously said that the week of free music provides residents opportunities to discover new artists and enjoy leisure time without stressing about finances.

Although the music festival is free, concertgoers are required to RSVP starting Jan. 14 for the days they plan to attend.

Morrison encourages music lovers to check out a few shows, saying it’s a chance to see artists perform before they blow up into the mainstream — which he stressed could happen.

“We have the talent. It’s already here,” he said. “The best ones need more support. They need better platforms, and they need more visibility.”
