Floyd Roger Myers Jr., who appeared in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has died at the age of 42 after suffering a heart attack at his home in Maryland, his mother has confirmed
A former child star, best known for his role in Will Smith’s hit 90’s television comedy Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has tragically passed away.
The actor’s devastated mother, Renee Trice, confirmed the sad news to TMZ and also disclosed the cause of death. She revealed that her son Floyd died in the early hours of Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at his home in Maryland.
Renee Trice shared with TMZ, “Myers passed away in the wee hours of Wednesday morning from a heart attack at his home in Maryland.” She informed TMZ that he had suffered three previous heart attacks over the last three years. She mentioned that she had just spoken to her son the night before.

Upon hearing the news of Floyd’s passing on Wednesday, fans flocked to social media to express their grief. One wrote: “That’s sad news so young felt like life still had chapters left for him.”
Another commented: “42 is far too young… sending love to his family and fans.”
Heartbreakingly, just weeks before his death, he celebrated his daughter’s 10th birthday, sharing a post on his Instagram with the caption:
“Happy 10th birthday to my baby girl! ! The life of the party and always a bright light in the room! !
“I’m so happy to be your father can’t wait what the next 10yrs will look@like watching you grow! !
“I love you and we going up all weekend baby girl! ! Daddy’s TyTy.”
In his personal life, the late actor was a father of four, according to a GoFundMe set up by his sister, Tyree Trice, to help cover funeral costs.
In a GoFundMe page set up by his family, Myers is remembered as “a devoted father, loving brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met.
“Roger leaves behind his four beautiful children – Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox – and our loving family is now facing the unimaginable loss of someone who meant everything to us,” the GoFundMe page states.
