‘Friday Night Lights’ star’s new movie is filming now in Texas

One of the stars of the “Friday Night Lights” television show is shooting a new movie in Texas.

Taylor Kitsch, who played Tim Riggins in the Texas-set series, leads the hostage thriller “11 Days,” which also stars Diego Luna and Jason Isaacs. The movie is based on William T. Harper’s book “Eleven Days in Hell: The 1974 Carrasco Prison Siege at Huntsville, Texas.”

“11 Days” director Peter Landesman announced on Instagram this week that production has started.

“In 1974 Texas, a prison warden faces off against a drug dealer whose failed escape attempt turns into a tense 11-day hostage crisis, challenging everyone’s moral boundaries as the standoff intensifies,” the film’s logline reads.

Texas-based Legacy Casting is working on the film and has released several casting calls for the project, which is filming in Huntsville.

Prison guards and tactical troopers are needed for filming on Sept. 29. Both of these jobs pay $100 for eight hours of work.

Inmates and family members of inmates are needed for filming a day later on Sept. 30. Kitchen prison guards are also needed for scenes on the same day. The pay rate for all three jobs is $100 for eight hours of work.

Legacy is looking for a real Latino mother and her baby to portray civilians in a prison-set scene on Oct. 1. The pay rate is $100 for eight hours of work. Extras are also needed to play tower prison guards on the same day for the same rate.

On Oct. 2, Legacy needs folks to portrays boardroom meeting attendees in a scene. The job pays $100 for eight hours of work.

Finally, Legacy is looking for around 50 men to portray prison inmates in a scene on Oct. 6. The pay rate is $100 and filming could go on for 12 hours or so, according to the company.
