Meanwhile, the trailer launch of the film ‘Middle Class’ was held in Chennai yesterday (November 11). Many film celebrities also attended the event. Music composer Santhosh Narayanan was one of them. At the ceremony, he humorously, yet emotionally, shared his “middle class” experiences in life.
Santhosh Narayanan recalls his early struggles
Speaking at the event, Santhosh Narayanan said: “Once I got a job offer in Bangalore. I flew for the first time for that job. It cost Rs. 5000. At that time, I used to save change in CD covers. If you take that away, it will be an economic disaster. I traveled with that savings. When I returned, I had just 150 rupees,” he recalled.

Santhosh Narayanan then added that “They charged me Rs 300 for watching TV on the plane. But I lied and said I lost my wallet and gave them the remaining Rs 150. They added the rest and said they sent the TV. But that TV never came to me because I couldn’t pay the courier. At that time, there was no recharge for the phone, and life itself was like a cycle of nothingness. It was only after I returned to Chennai that I realized what the real economic struggle was. But it was that effort that brought me to this height today. I did what I wanted, and this is the reward I got for it,” he shared with emotion.
