he Royal Family formally welcomed German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Ms Büdenbender to Windsor on Wednesday, marking an historic first German state visit to the UK in 27 years.
The grand ceremony included a carriage procession, Guard of Honour inspection, and military march past.
The King and Queen also showed the President an exhibition of German items from the Royal Collection, before hosting a lavish state banquet at Windsor Castle in the evening.
