Mandya: The picturesque Gaganachukki waterfalls in Malavalli taluk will host a grand two-day festival on Sept 13 and 14.Malavalli MLA and Karnataka State Pollution Control Board chairman PM Narendra Swamy said on Friday that the festival aims to showcase Gaganachukki as a prime tourist destination and attract more visitors. To facilitate smooth participation, the administration has arranged free bus services from Malavalli to Gaganachukki, along with free food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) on both days. Seating, lighting, and LED displays will ensure comfortable viewing of the falls. This year, the main stage will be set up near Malli Kyatanahalli instead of Rottikatte, where water supply works are in progress. Future plans for the area include an aqua park, water sports, and a PPP-model garden project.Local artists, as well as school and college students, will perform between 11am and 3pm daily. Govt department stalls, a laser light show, and a sound & light show will also be part of the show.
