“In Gaza and Palestine, people live with hope and love, and look for moments to express themselves despite all the hunger, pain, crises and displacement.”
In portraits and landscapes, through depictions of bullet holes and doves and packed bags, over 60 young artists in Gaza are showing what the last two and a half years of genocide looks like, and what their hopes are for the future.
For four months, they gathered in a studio to create their art, showcasing it to the world this week in an exhibition titled “What Survivors Left Behind.”
