‘Gen V’ Star Jaz Sinclair Shares This Beauty Tip Keeps Her Skin “Happy”

Fans of Amazon Prime’s The Boys spinoff Gen V may be familiar with Jaz Sinclair’s portrayal of the blood-bending supe Marie Moreau. “I just love getting to be Marie,” Jaz shared in a recent interview with Good Housekeeping. “I just really loved getting to play such a badass and dynamic role. Like getting to learn fight training and work with John Koyama, and getting to play this character who is so multifaceted—it’s really just like a joy and privilege in my life.”

Recently in Sol de Janeiro’s “Inner Monologue, Rewritten” campaign, Jaz took on another kind of character. “One of the things that I loved about when we were shooting for the Cheirosa 91 Rosa Charmosa perfume mist, [is that] we kind of were shooting it with this idea of that when you spray this, you’re just magnetic and electric, and it’s a perfect day,” Jaz said. “As an actor, that was just really fun to get to pretend like the whole world was bending my way.”

What does her perfect day look like when she’s off screen? We chatted with Jaz to get a peek inside her ideal wellness and beauty routine. From the secret that keeps her skin glowing to how she likes to maintain her natural hair, it’s all laid out below.

Pour into yourself first.

When Jaz is getting her day started, she prefers to take things slow and to prioritize meditation and prayer.

“My favorite kind of morning is a seven hour morning,” she says. “These days, I just wake up, type in meditation music on YouTube, set a 20 minute timer, and then I journal. I just really like taking my time; getting my spirit right first thing in the morning.”

Hydration is a must.

She’s also a big fan of electrolytes to help boost her hydration.

“I love the LMNT, the chocolate one,” she says. “I heat up water—you don’t drink it cold, only drink it hot—but it’s so nice. It’s like a little hot chocolate at the end of the night. But I swear, when I’m hydrating like that, my skin is just more full and happy. And then my products are pretty simple. I just moisturize and do hyaluronic acid at night and tretinoin.”

“In the daytime, I love my vitamin C serum and also sunscreen every day. And then obviously, my Rosa Charmosa—the body cream. I just love the process of applying it, because it’s just such a nice way to pour into your body and yourself. And to really take time applying it is something that I like to do as well.”

When it comes to makeup, less is more.

“I keep it pretty simple. I love Glossier’s Cloud Paint. I use that on my cheeks and on my lips. It’s so good. I’ll like, fill in my eyebrows a little bit with an eyebrow pencil. Right now, I’ve been using the Makeup Forever Artist Color Pencil. I’ve been using that as a lip liner and then also to amplify my freckles. I’m freckly, but I have light freckles. And I just like to show those off a little bit with that.”
