Most fans were in favor of Jason inheriting the house, followed by Tracy and Michael. Only 1% of fans believed that Monica’s sister, Ronnie, could be the rightful successor to her home.
Soap Opera Digest conducted a poll where the audience shared their opinions on who they thought should inherit Monica’s house. 42% of fans believed that Jason, whom Monica adopted and loved like her own child, should have received the inheritance. He became estranged from Monica and the family after an accident took away his memory, but later tried to make things right. This is why leaving the house to him could have been a touching choice, given their bond over the years.
25% of fans voted in favor of Tracy, Monica’s sister-in-law. For years, Tracy never thought Monica was worthy of her brother’s last name, and Monica often reminded her who the house really belonged to. Despite their differences, Monica regarded her as a sister. Many fans believed Monica could have left the house to Tracy, allowing her to finally call it her own.
21% supported Michael as he’s the only grandchild Monica has. This is because, although he might have disconnected from his Quartermine roots growing up, in recent years, he has shown love and support for his real family. A small percentage of votes also went to Ned, Brook Lynn, and Ronnie. 4% of the vote went in the “someone else” category.
