This was a result of Jason’s heroic acts in the recent episode of General Hospital. In the September 8 episode, Jason breaks into Britt Westbourne’s lab to rescue her. Britt, relieved to see him, warns that Pascal has put an explosive ankle monitor, which will explode if she leaves the room. Since Jason can diffuse the explosive, he promises to save her.
But first, he goes to rescue Vaughn and Joss, who are kept captive in another room. He bursts into the room where they are held captive and fights the guards. When Jason gets hold of the guard, the guard drops his knife. Vaughn takes advantage of the opportunity and grabs the knife. This leads to both Vaughn and Joss being free
