Lauren Graham became a household name because of Lorelai Gilmore. The actress rose to fame playing the iconic character on Gilmore Girls for seven seasons in the OG series and the revival A Year in the Life.
Now, 25 years after Gilmore Girls premiered, Graham is getting a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony will take place soon and will be on a date with a Taylor Swift connection.
Lauren Graham Honored With Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
In an Instagram share with Variety, it was announced that Graham will get her star on Friday, October 3. That’s right her ceremony will take place in less than a week.
“EXCLUSIVE: Lauren Graham will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 3, courtesy of The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Via @hwdwalkoffame @stargirl_stuff @hollywoodchamberofcommerce,” read the caption on the social media post.
According to an official press release by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, comedian Sam Pancake will emcee the ceremony. Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is listed as a guest speaker.
Graham’s star will be located at 6284 Hollywood Boulevard, which is directly in front of the W Hollywood Hotel.
Mae Whitman, who played Graham’s daughter on Parenthood, popped up in the comments to support her TV mom. “Yaaaaaaaaaaas diva!” she wrote.
The comments section was filled with fans gushing over Graham’s receiving this honor, and many were pointing out why October 3 is already a big day.

When fans weren’t gushing over Graham getting this honor, they were pointing out that October 3 is Mean Girls day and the day Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl” is released.
