The pair discussed parenthood during a live taping of The Pete Davidson Show podcast on Sunday, May 10, at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theater.
Former Saturday Night Live star Davidson, 32, said he was “so excited for [his] daughter to get older,” referring to baby Scottie Rose, whom he welcomed with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, in December 2025. “[She] is five months old now. She’s doing tummy time. She is really, really communicative. She’s trying to talk now. She’ll talk all day, but it’s just she’s going “la”. So we kind of talk all day, and she’s so young,” he continued.

He concluded, “She’s so cute and chunky. It’s been really awesome. It’s been so much fun.”
Meanwhile, fellow comedian Mulaney, 43, revealed his daughter, Méi, “loves food so much.” He added, “Méi will be gagging on something and take another bite [she] is so funny.”
Mulaney then touched on the 19-month-old tot’s personality, telling Davidson she’s “very expressive.” He explained, “If you turn on music, no matter what’s happening, she could be sobbing and screaming, and then if you turn on any song she’s dancing.”

Mulaney and his wife, Olivia Munn, welcomed their first child, son Malcolm Hiệp, in November 2021. A few years later, in September 2024, the couple welcomed their second child, daughter Méi June.
Davidson and Hewitt welcomed baby girl Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson at the end of last year, sharing the news on Instagram on Dec. 18 alongside a series of snaps of themselves with their newborn. “My best work yet, i am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief,” Hewitt captioned the post, with Davidson adding, “wu tang forever.”
Scottie is named after Davidson’s late father, Scott Matthew Davidson.
The comedian was 7 years old when his dad, a New York City firefighter, died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and during a July 2025 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he told host Jimmy Fallon that fatherhood was his dream come true. “It’s my dream to be a dad, so I’m so excited,” he said. “Elsie’s excited. I’m excited to see her be a mom. So we’re stoked.”
However, last month, a source told PEOPLE that the couple was having “issues” in their relationship. “They’re trying to figure things out together,” the source said on Thursday, April 30. “They’re adjusting to parenthood and working through the process.”
The comedian and model, 30, consider their baby girl “their top priority,” the source added.
