Gisele Bundchen and Joaquim Valente Are Married After Nearly 3 Years

Gisele Bündchen and boyfriend Joaquim Valente are married after nearly three years of dating, Us Weekly can confirm.

According to a marriage certificate obtained by Us on Friday, December 19, Bündchen, 45, and Valente, 38, obtained their marriage license in Miami on December 1, and tied the knot two days later on December 3.

Bündchen and Valente began dating in June 2023 following her divorce from ex-husband Tom Brady. The model and Brady, 48, were married from 2009 to 2022 and share son Benjamin, 16, and daughter Vivian, 13. (Bündchen is also stepmother to Brady’s son Jack, 17, whom he welcomed with ex Bridget Moynahan.)

In March 2024, Bündchen opened up about her romance with Valente who she was friends with before their connection turned romantic.

“This is the first time I am seeing someone that was a friend of mine first,” she said in an interview with the New York Times. “It’s very different. It is very honest, and it’s very transparent.”

Bündchen also denied the speculation that she had an affair with the jiu jitsu instructor before her split from Brady.

“That is a lie. This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful,” she reflected. “They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family. Of course for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified.”

In October 2024, Us confirmed that Bündchen was pregnant with her third baby, her first with Valente.

“When Gisele told the kids about her pregnancy, she made sure to let Tom know as well,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “This happened a few months ago. She wanted to give him that courtesy and knew the kids would tell him either way.”

Bü​​ndchen gave birth to her and Valente’s baby boy in February. The couple have yet to reveal their little one’s name.

Three months later, Bündchen shared a glimpse of her life at home with her newborn.

“Now that my little one is sleeping through the night, I’m back in control of my routine,” she said in a May interview for Vogue France. “As any new mom knows, it’s incredible how much sleep — or lack of it — can change everything! But once again, I feel truly grateful: being able to be home with my kids and enjoy every moment with them is priceless.”

Bü​​ndchen added that she and her family were enjoying quality time together in nature.

“Being with my family, especially when we can do outdoor activities together,” she said of her favorite way to spend the day. “Spending time with them is what makes me happiest.”

Last month, Bü​​ndchen made her return to the red carpet after welcoming her son. The model made an appearance at the Franca Fund Gala in November.
