Families are invited to enjoy our 21st Annual Health/Safety & Fire Preparedness Carnival on Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 950 Maidu Ave, the Rood Center in Nevada City. Gold Country Kiwanis and the Nevada County Office of Emergency Services are hosting this free event. Nearly 50 local organizations and agencies will dispense valuable health, wellness and safety information to children, families and seniors at a fun, community-wide event.
Local first responders, rescue, hospital, ambulance and helicopter personnel will be displaying and demonstrating safety equipment. Visit nearly 3 acres of exhibits and demonstrations. Our goal is to support individual and community health by introducing children and families to our local services. Attractions will include a free BBQ Lunch with salad, juices and snacks, plus entertainment, gifts, contests and prizes.
Plan to join us for a fun and educational afternoon on the first Saturday of June. We hope to see you there.
