Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, whose home was surrounded by police earlier this year, has recruited a nine-year-old “mini me” to feature on his television programs after discovering the child’s hilarious impersonations of him online.
The celebrity chef brought on Felix Light following his discovery of the youngster yelling at servers, restaurant supervisors and cafeteria workers in expletive-filled tirades, carefully censored, mimicking his television series, Kitchen Nightmares.
Sporting tousled blonde locks and the signature profanity-laden vocabulary, the cherubic student’s exceptional mimicry has drawn over two million viewers, almost one year after Ramsay “nearly died.”
Ramsay, who was left doubled over with laughter, has become the child’s greatest supporter.
Upon viewing the footage on YouTube, Ramsay transported Felix from Loughton, Essex, to Los Angeles and cast the young culinary talent on the popular series Hell’s Kitchen USA, drawing 15 million weekly viewers and broadcast in the UK.
Felix is additionally being considered for Ramsay’s other program, The F-Word.
Father-of-four Ramsay, 42, remarked, “When I saw the videos of Felix impersonating me I thought it was hilarious.
“I was with my son Jack, who is eight, and my wife Tana. I said, ‘Look, come and see Daddy when he was little.’
“We all sat there laughing our heads off. Felix had me down to a T. I thought we just have to get this kid on Hell’s Kitchen. He’s a star.”
Young performer and model Felix was selected last year to star in three promotional videos for a “Little Gordon” marketing campaign by restaurant staffing company Caterer.com.
In the first video, he berates his “mom” for using white bread instead of whole grain for his sandwiches. Upon inspecting his lunch box, he exclaims: “What the Christ is in here? It’s f—ing embarrassing.”
In another clip, Little Gordon criticizes the service at a deserted restaurant. He slams his fist on the table and yells, “Why exactly have I been waiting an hour for my food in an empty restaurant? I ordered some chicken – I can only assume you are waiting for the eggs to hatch.”

In the third video, Felix confronts two cafeteria ladies.
He questions, “What’s the meat content of these sausages? Because it tastes like dog s—.”
The videos gained popularity when they were uploaded on YouTube.
Upon seeing them, Ramsay instructed Hell’s Kitchen producers to locate Felix. Three weeks ago, they flew the young boy and his mom Emma Hickey to Los Angeles.
Felix will make an appearance on Hell’s Kitchen, giving contestants a Ramsay-style scolding in scenes set to air next month. Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Felix said meeting the chef was a dream come true.
He shared: “He was really nice and said how funny he thought the videos were. Filming Hell’s Kitchen was a bit nerve-racking. I have never seen so many cameras before but I loved it.”
Felix’s mom Emma expressed her astonishment at being invited to LA. She stated, “We were treated like stars and loved every minute.”
However, Emma clarified that once the cameras are off, Felix is not allowed to use profanity. She stated: “Felix understands that Little Gordon is just an act and that swearing in real-life is not allowed. I am really proud of him.”
Despite his impersonation skills, Felix has different aspirations. He declared, “When I grow up I’d rather be a rock star. It’s more fun than cooking.”
