The Vail Valley Foundation has released another act that will be coming to its Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater this summer as part of The Amp Summer Concert Series the Avon-based nonprofit is hosting with AEG Presents. Gov’t. Mule will take to the stage on Aug. 23. The Southern rock band lead by the legendary Grammy Award-winning artist, guitar legend, songwriter and producer Warren Haynes, has been a crowd favorite in the Vail Valley. Gov’t. Mule most recently played at The Amp as part of the Mountains of Music in 2022 during the GoPro Mountain Games.
“Gov’t Mule has spent more than three decades building one of the most devoted followings in live music,” said Dave Dressman, vice president of the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater. “Their fans follow them everywhere they go, and for good reason. Very few acts can match what they bring to the stage night after night. We’re excited to welcome them back to Vail.”
Gov’t. Mule is added to an already long list of concerts with artists like Trey Anastasio on June 3, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue on Aug. 13, Alison Krauss & Union Station on Aug. 16 and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead on Aug. 21. Tickets for Gov’t. Mule go on sale to the public on April 10 at 10 a.m. at grfavail.com.
