CHICAGO — WGN’s Dean Richards offers a look at some of the shows and events taking place around Chicagoland this weekend.

On stage this weekend, enjoy the hit musical inspired by the music and life of Alicia Keys. See “Hell’s Kitchen” at the Nederlander Theatre through Nov. 30.

In music, classic rockers “Grand Funk Railroad” bring their unforgettable hits to the Rivers Casino in Des Plaines on Saturday night.

House music, gospel and comedy come together with “Not Just Another House Party” featuring DJ Jazzy Jeff, Comedian Deon Cole and many more at Wintrust Arena on Saturday.

Also this weekend, “Great White” and “Slaughter” visit the Des Plaines Theater on Saturday.

Mexican superstars Bronco are at the Rosemont Theater on Saturday.

For laughs, standup Chris D’Elia peforms at the Chicago Theater on Saturday night.

Aries Spears visits the Improv in Schaumburg through Sunday.

WGN’s very own Mike Toomey and friends bring the laughs to the Copley Theater across from the Paramount in downtown Aurora. See him Saturday at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
