SHREVEPORT, La. – The Great Louisiana Fair is set to return to Bossier City this weekend, bringing weeks of rides, live entertainment, games, and classic fair food to Louisiana Downs.
During a recent interview with KTBS, entertainer Steve Crawford and food manager Todd Robertson gave viewers a preview of what families can expect when the fair opens May 29.
Crawford, who performs at fairs and events across the country, says guests can look forward to free entertainment included with admission, along with interactive performances and family-friendly fun throughout the fairgrounds.
Robertson says food will once again be a major attraction this year, with returning favorites and fair classics expected to draw crowds throughout the event.
The Great Louisiana Fair runs May 29 through June 14 at Louisiana Downs. Organizers say the event will feature more than 30 carnival rides, midway games, petting zoos, racing pigs, thrill shows, and additional attractions for all ages.
Admission also includes several live entertainment acts, including the Fearless Flores Thrill Show, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, and the Bubble Foam Show.
Fair officials say guests can also take advantage of special discount days and ride promotions throughout the fair’s run.
