Gretchen Rossi has really “been enjoying” her “life, lately” alongside her longtime fiancé, Slade Smiley. The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 friend is in a loving relationship with Slade and the proud mom to their 6-year-old daughter, Skylar Gray Smiley, and she could not be happier at the moment.
Gretchen took to Instagram on Aug. 19, where she showed off scenes from her life alongside Slade. In photos and videos, posted to the carousel, Gretchen can be seen smiling next to Slade while at a restaurant with a friend, in addition to capturing Slade walking Skylar through an obstacle course and walking with her into a hotel.
The mom of one was also able to capture so many exciting moments alongside her daughter and their friends, from hanging out at a pool to chilling in a hotel room. Gretchen also snapped a video alongside The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum and current OC resident, Jacqueline Laurita, as they sat in a bus together with Slade and her husband, Chris Laurita. “OK, we’re here with our friend! Jacqueline!” Gretchen exclaimed.
“Life, lately!” Gretchen wrote in the caption of the post. “Been enjoying the last little bit of summer with dear friends and some fun activities!”
“Love you guys & appreciate all the love on here,” she added.

Slade has also had his fun with Gretchen. During RHOC Season 19, Episode 7, Gretchen FaceTimed Slade while she was on a trip to New Orleans. Slade had picked up the phone, wearing a fake mustache, which Gretchen was less than impressed by.

“OK, what in the serious hell monkey with this mustache?” Gretchen asked Slade over the phone. “I’m going to kill you.”

Gretchen Rossi reveals why she wants to get married to Slade Smiley
Although she is so happy at the moment, Gretchen is also open to finally sealing the deal with Slade. During the first episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show for Season 19, Gretchen admitted that she and Slade have kind of already gotten married, as they exchanged vows with an “ordained pastor” on New Year’s Eve 2022. “It was between me and God,” she explained.

She continued during the RHOC After Show, admitting that she doesn’t feel “a need to” get legally married, but might want to do it anyway. “I don’t want people to keep asking, ‘When are you ever gonna get married?’ So I’m just like, if I do it more publicly, then I think people will stop asking that,” she explained. “And B: I do think there is something to be said for, like, having the pictures, and then Sky getting to see that one day when she’s older. Like, ‘Oh, this is when Mommy and Daddy got married.’ That sort of thing. So, I love the whole, like, concept behind, like, having those memories behind it.”
