Canadian singer/songwriter Grimes said her ex, Elon Musk, blocked her on his social media platform X amid the ongoing custody battle over their three children.
Last week, an X user re-shared a post from the account @BigTechAlert that claimed the musician was no longer following the tech billionaire on the platform.
Grimes responded to the post on X writing: “For context I’m just living my life. He followed me then blocked me. I’m not gna be following and unfollowing. My only priority is co parenting, I am not interested in public dramatics. This is so silly lol.”
Grimes, who was born Claire Elise Boucher, was first romantically linked to Musk in May 2018 when they made their public debut at the Met Gala. The on-again, off-again couple share three kids: X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl and Techno Mechanicus.
On Sept. 29, 2023, Grimes filed a “petition to establish parental relationship,” according to court documents. Grimes has voiced concerns about Musk’s parenting decisions on multiple occasions, including earlier this year when she requested that he keep their kids out of the public eye.
“I have tried begging the public and my kid’s dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal recourse,” Grimes wrote on X in March. ”…The state of my children’s lives being public is of grave concern to me and I think about how to solve this every day.”
